Song of the day: “Keep Your Head Up” by Andy Grammer
Only rainbows after rain
The sun will always come again…
But you gotta keep your head up, oh
And you can let you hair down, yeah
Song of the day: “Keep Your Head Up” by Andy Grammer
Only rainbows after rain
The sun will always come again…
But you gotta keep your head up, oh
And you can let you hair down, yeah
Song of the day: “I Look To You” by Whitney Houston
As I lay me down
Heaven, here me now
I’m lost without a cause
After giving it my all
Winter storms have come
And darkened my sun
After all that I’ve been through
Who on earth can I turn to?
I look to you
I look to you
After all my strength is gone
In you, I can be strong
I look to you
I look to you
And when melodies are gone
In you, I hear a song
I look to you…

Like many aspiring singers, Whitney Houston was an idol and inspiration - to me, a perfect model of a true musician and performer. Her beautiful, powerful voice mixed with her honest, soulful expression put her in a level far beyond many vocalists in her day, before her, and after her. Many have been compared to her, but no one will ever replace her.
Whitney, thank you for sharing your incredible talent with all of us. You always did more than just sing - you shared your passion, your strength, and your soul through your music. I pray that after so much struggle, you are finally at peace.
Song of the day: “Umbrella” by Rihanna ft. Jay-Z
Because LOVE - romantic and platonic, universal and unconditional - is what Valentine’s Day all about. So give it, share it, cherish it, and celebrate it today and everyday. :)

You can run into my arms
It’s okay, don’t be alarmed
Come in to me
There’s no distance in between our love
So go on and let the rain pour
I’ll be all you need and more
Because when the sun shines, we’ll shine together
Told you I’ll be here forever
Said I’d always be your friend
Took an oath, I’ma stick it out to the end
Now that it’s raining more than ever
Know that we’ll still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella…
Song of the moment: “Who’s that Girl” by Guy Sebastian, ft. Eve
I walk in the club - it’s over
All them other chicks might as well move over
Wanna know my name, then you gotta get closer
Eyes on you, too, wanna get to know ya
Lemme run it down for ya, I’m not easy
Some say caramel, you can call me Evie
Wanna be the man in my life that please me?
Gotta warnin’ - once ya know me, you need me…
The night could get crazy
But I gotta hold back - I’m a lady
But, who knows, maybe I could be your baby…
Tell me, who’s that girl just walk in the club…?

Song of the moment: “The Only Exception” by Paramore
Maybe I know somewhere deep in my soul that love never lasts
And we’ve got to find other ways to make it alone, or keep a straight face
And I’ve always lived like this, keeping a comfortable distance
And up until now I’ve sworn to myself that I’m content with loneliness
Because none of it was ever worth the risk
Well, you are the only exception…
I’ve got a tight grip on reality
But I can’t let go of what’s in front of me here
I know you’re leaving in the morning when you wake up
Leave me with some kind of proof it’s not a dream…
Song of the moment: “California King Bed” by Rihanna
Chest to chest, nose to nose
Palm to palm, we were always just that close
Wrist to wrist, toe to toe
Lips that felt just like the inside of a rose
So, how come when I reach out my fingers
It feels like more than distance between us?
In this California king bed
We’re ten thousand miles apart
I’ve been California wishing on these stars
For your heart for me
My California king…
Just when I felt like giving up on us
You turned around and gave me one last touch
That made everything feel better
And even then, my eyes got wetter
So confused, wanna ask you if you love me
But I don’t wanna seem so weak
Maybe I’ve been California dreaming…
